The Mailboxes Addon introduces wooden mailboxes and packages into the game. This Addon is very useful, allowing you to send packages anywhere, whether you’re playing solo or with friends.

This Addon was created in version 1.20.80 of Minecraft Bedrock.

When you add this addon to a new world you will have a guide book.

If you lose it, you can make a new one this way:

You must follow the next steps for it to work correctly:

1. First, place a wooden mailbox.

2. Interact with the block to assign it a name and decide if the mailbox should be restricted to the owner or if any player can access it.

3. Now place the Post Box in another location.

4. Place the items you want to send in its inventory.

5. Use a package and interact with the block for the shipping form to appear.

6. Select a player from the list.

7. Now select a mailbox from the list, you can send a message (this will appear when the receiver opens the package) and you can decide whether to hide the list of items being sent.

8. That’s it, the package will appear in the indicated mailbox.

Changelog

• The entire mailbox system has been modified. Now, mailboxes are global entities, so if you had old mailboxes, you will have to open them at least once to make them compatible with the new system.
• A new guide book has been added, similar to the Marketplace books, which works with custom interfaces through “server_form.json”.
• When placing a mailbox, no form will be displayed automatically anymore. Now, you must interact with the block to assign it a name and decide whether the inventory will have restricted access only to the owner or will be accessible to all players.
• For sending packages, a new form has been created. First, you must place at least one item in the shipment box. Then, interact with the block (no longer with the entity) and a form will appear with the list of players who have a mailbox. Select a player and then another form will be displayed with the list of mailboxes for that user. Added the option to send a message (which will only be displayed when the recipient opens the package) and the option to hide the contents of the items.
• If the destination mailbox is full it will not be possible to send more items.
• The Addon no longer requires the experimental game options.
• Packages can now correctly store information for the following items:
• Potions
• Editable books
• Banners
